What Causes Deafness And Constant Ringing In Ears?

We live in Calgary, Alberta and can t get into a ear, throat doctor until September and my husband needs to see one ASAP as he woke up two weeks ago and he was deaf in one of his ears. He also has non stop ringing in his ears and has had that for some time now. We were wondering if we could get into a doctor there in Pasco, Wash. where our son and family live. We are US citizens and over 65. Thank You, Don Cline

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should go to the primary doctor of your son at the place where you live. He/she will get an ear examination done and will give temporary treatment until you see ENT specialist in September. Most probably, it could be ear wax or infection, however, the ear examination will fully determine it. Meanwhile, do monitor his blood pressure, and record the results for future reference. Advise you to take antihistamines like Cetirizine for his ringing ears.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
