What Causes Decrease In Heart Rate After Taking Metoprolol?

i take metoprolol tartrate @ 12,5 mg every 12 hrs ... my heart rate is 103 @ 8:30 PM ( usual heart rate is 65 - 75) last dosage @ 4:30 this after noon - I am about to take another 12.5 mg as my hi heart rate can soar to 150 + once it starts to escalate.I check my BP often & my heart rate goes down after taking metoprolol. I read that another 12.5 mg is well below max dosage. YYYY@YYYY

I really appreciate your concern, if you do not have any obvious clinical symptoms then it is nothing to worry because heart rate and BP goes on changing or vary from time to time and if you are reading it on your own then chances of error is very likely, if you want to clear the doubt then you need to see the physician who prescribed these medicine and have a word with him, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care
