What Causes Decrease In The Platelet Count?

I have a daughter moved away and went to a doctor for sweats and not feeling normal and changed her diet to no carbs and very little meat. Test came back with low platelets 122. What possible problems besides hemophiliac, autoimmune issues would you look at?

I really appreciate your concern, the most common cause of low platelet in this case would be viral infection otherwise may need several investigations, hope this information helps.
