Hi,

I feel instead of jumping straight to treatment, first of all, we need to establish the nature of your problem. We need to have a detailed clinical history and examination followed by investigations. See asthma is a long term disease of the lungs in which our airways become narrow and cause cough, wheezing and difficulty in breathing. Asthma can also be related to allergy or extreme weather conditions. It would be highly appreciable if you give me some detailed symptoms of yours- like do you have a cough with expectoration? Is there any wheezing? Is there any chest pain or fever?

You even need to do some investigations like complete blood count, igE levels, Absolute eosinophil count, and chest X-ray. Also, try to find the source of allergen - like when are your symptoms becoming more. Please write details of your treatment history also. I will be looking forward to your answers so that proper treatment can be planned accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Milinda Gupta, Internal Medicine Specialist
