What Causes Deep Gasps For Breath While Talking In A Toddler?

My 4 yr old takes deep gasps for breath sometimes when she s talking. She doesn t do it all the time. But when it happens she is always talking. She is fine while sleeping or not talking. At first I thought maybe she is forgetting to breath while talking but I ve noticed sometimes she will do it like every other 5 words. Its very odd to me. What could be going on with her?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
deep gasping while speaking fast is normal, because the person needs to re breathe again. but if your daughter is having increased durations and numbers of gasping for breath, then i recommend you to get her checked up by respiratory specialists.they conduct respiratory function tests to find out whether lungs are functioning fine.
