What Causes Deep Sleep In Elderly People During Day Time?

I worried about grandmother whom I take care of. On today she woke up at 9:45am she was fed an dressed and seated in her wheel chair, I noticed that she had fell asleep, she would not wake up for her lunch or dinner and I could not get her to wake up, and she is still asleep, I mean snoreing, what is going on?......

i appreciate your concern about your grandmother.
first you tell me some history-
does she have a snoring habit??
or is she under any medication??
if she has a snoring habit then she might have a sleep apnoea syndrome and daytime sleepiness is a feature.
you should consult your physician as s according to the grade.
oon as possible,to check all the vitals and to rule out other causes and proper management.
