What Causes Delay In Menstruation Other Than Pregnancy?
Been on Cerazette for 5 month. Regular bleeds every 24/25 days. I am now on day 29, no period but have been cramping for a couple of days, having hot flushes. My breast are not as sore as they normally are pre period. Took a pregnancy test this afternoon - negative result. What s going on??
Hello, thank you for posting your query. It is quite normal for your periods pattern to change while you are on cetazette. Your periods may be regular, may become frequent, absent, lighter or one may even have intermenstrual spotting and side effects of progesterone as well. But these are likely to settle after a few months of use and it is absolutely nothing to worry about. Also, as your urine pregnancy test is negative and your ate cramping already, it seems to me that your periods may just be around the corner and all you have to do it just wait. And hot flushes could be due to a low level of estrogen in the body which is temporary and will go away once you discontinue oral pills. If it persists and bothers you as to interfere with the quality of life then you may consider switching to intrauterine devices as well for contraception. Hope this answers your query! Good luck!
