What Causes Delay In Periods After Taking Atenolol?

Hi, I started taking Atenolol about 3 weeks ago and now I am a week late for my period. There is no way that I could be pregnant and this pill is the only thing that I can think of that may cause this. I have been on birth control for over 2 years and other than that only take a multivitamin, no other medications. Is it common for Atenolol to cause this?

I understand your concern

I fear that something other than Atenolol is responsible for your periods being late .Atenolol is a frequently prescribed drug and in my clinical practice of many years I have not read or come across a problem such as yours. An HPT may be required to help you out
