What Causes Delay In Periods And Abdominal Cramps Despite Having Negative UPT?

Hi.I have missed my periods .delayed by 12 days.i tested 5 days back for pregnancy but got negative . I have got hypothyroidism taking 75mg. When do I have to check with doctor.but I get some cramps in my lower belly and discharge.my periods are always regular.

Hi welcome to health care magic....

Here first repeat UPT as it take week for coming positive after delayed period..

If still UPT negative than your pelvic examination and per speculum examination done along with Trans vaginal USG investigation....

If needed high vaginal swab also can be taken....

These work up will rule out infection if present like pelvic inflammatory disease...

According to cause further specific treatment can be given..

Continue treatment for hypothyroid as it is related to menstrual irregularities..
