One time i faced last year around the same time when the weather went too cold. Now it s been 66 days, still i m waiting for my periods. I just wanted to know whether this is usual or not. Please help me out. thank you so much in advance for your reply.Note: I m also gaining weight.
There are different causes for delayed periods. To determine the cause , your doctor would need to do blood tests and imaging of the uterus/ovaries along with history and physical examination.
The different causes are: (1) polycystic ovarian syndrome (2)excess physical activity (3)high prolactin levels (4)inadequate diet (5)abnormal thyroid hormone levels (6)emotional or physical illness or stress
Blood tests checking for certain hormones, thyroid function tests, prolactin levels are needed.
The treatment would depend on the cause found.
I hope this helps
