What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative HPT?
Hi 28 diagnosed with pcos started metformin in september and had period right away, october and November as well, its now almost end of dec and no period for 23 days according to menstrual app, hpt are all coming back negative, any chance i could be pregnant?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... With a history of Polycystic ovary disease (PCOS) & you had negative pregnancy tests, it is more likely that you did not have ovulation in this cycle and it merely is the delayed cycle due to PCOS. Pregnancy possibility is very less. In PCOS it is difficult to predict ovulation. Ovulation does occur spontaneously, but not regularly. For further confirmation, you may get blood tests for serum beta-hCG and also get a trans-vaginal sonogram. You should continue metformin as you had regular periods with it for last 2 cycles.
Refer to your gynaecologist for further advice. Good luck.
