What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?
My periods, for the most part, are always on time. I had sex multiple times with my fiancé this last 4 weeks. My period is 3 days late with no symptoms of my period coming. I took 2 different types of pregnancy test and they were negative, could I still be pregnant?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Pregnancy test is conclusive after 8 days delay in periods. Please repeat it as per need. Delayed period with negative pregnancy test can be due to psychological or physical stress, severe weakness, debilitating illness or hormonal imbalance. Cause can be found with detailed physical examination and needful investigations and treated specifically after that. Consult a gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
