What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

Hi Dr Nirja.I am 26yrs TTC since 2 years.. All tests done everything WNL according to my Gynae.This month I went for my IUI#2 on 12th Oct & was on Gestone(progesterone supplements) My period is never late (27-28cycle) but even after 14 days of IUI my pregnancy test came negative? Also period didn t come I am really stressed please help!!

Normally pregnancy tests are accurate after 11 to 14 days but if you wish it can be repeated after a few days to make sure.

Emotional or physical stress or illness can cause a delay in the period by affecting hormone levels so it is possible that your stress is playing a role since your tests are otherwise normal.
