What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Safe Sex?

I had unprotected sex a month ago and started what seemed to be my period a few days after, it s now time for my period to start again and I m 2 days late, but I ve been experiencing cramping and pain what does this mean if I haven t gotten my period again? Could I be pregnant?

Hello,

Anytime there is a delay in the periods it is best to have a urinary pregnancy test done. If the test is negative then you do not need to worry, very likely you will have your periods in the next 2-3 weeks.

If your periods do not come in the next 2-3 weeks it may be a good idea to see your doctor.
