What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Duphaston For PCOS?
hi.. Iam suffering with pcos. Recently i have started my treatment. I have been eating duphoston twice a day since 5 days as my doctor recomended. But still i dint start my periods. i want to know can i still continue it till i get my periods no matter how long it will take ..
PCOS is complex disease and cause hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction, menstrual irregularity, insulin resistance and weight gain. Proper treatment will require under advise of gynecologist. Generally period will occur with in 5 to 7 days after stopping pill. Stop pill and wait for your period.
If period will not come then progesterone shot can be used. Once your period will come then you can take drugs like:
Krimson 35: to regularize period Metformin: to induce ovulation and decrease insulin resistance Progesterone pill in second half of period: to correct hormonal imbalance to regularize period
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, take small frequent meal rather than large meal, avoid excessive sweet. Do regular exercise and maintain body weight according to BMI.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
