What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Micronor Post Delivery?
Hi! I have been taking micronor for the last two months post baby. I have been breastfeeding and doing formula with the baby. I ve had supply issues all along so about 2 weeks ago my baby stopped breastfeeding and has been on formula only since. I finished my pack of micronor 5 days ago and still haven t had a period. I did not have a period either between my first and second pack of micronor. I was hoping to switch to the nuvaring as I am no longer breastfeeding. My son is now 3 1/2mtha and I m just wondering when I should expect my period to return. Is this normal on micronor, to not have a period or it be delayed? I ve never been on it before...
It usually takes around 6 months to get back the regular periods post delivery. In some cases it takes more than that. Do not worry. Continue breast feeding and the things your doctor has advised.
Also, you can talk to your doctor in person if this worries you all the time in your next visit. Till then just follow your daily routine with light exercise if possible.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
