What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Contraceptives After Having Sex?

My lady hasn t had her period for 3 weeks. We had unprotected sex and she has been keeping up with her birth control pills. Recently she has had white tissue come out from her vagina twice this past week. I never ejaculated in her but i have known pre ejaculation has a slight chance to get her pregnant. Well she was put on birthday control way before i met her due to her irregular periods or something along those lines to control her period. I am wondering if she is pregnant or not

Hello,

If your partner is already taking birth control pills regularly, then chances of pregnancy are nil. As she is already suffering from irregular periods before she met you, she might still be suffering from hormonal imbalance and delayed periods might be due to that.

If you still want to confirm, you can ask her to take a home pregnancy test. The test stick is available OTC in medical stores. Read the instructions on the pack before using it. She has to urinate on the indicator area of the stick and wait for (+) or (-) sign indicating positive or negative pregnancy, respectively.

If the test is negative and she does not get menstruation in a week, she should visit her gynecologist for adjustment in the dosage of the medicines she is taking for irregular menstruation.
