What Causes Delay In Periods Inspite Of Having Safe Sex?

Hi good night . I am 18 years old and I had sex with my boyfriend 2 weeks ago . Yes of course we used protection but now I m worried my period is a bit late. What could be the cause? Well I have been stressing wondering if I m pregnant but is it possible to use protection and still get pregnant? I m really worried . Please I am waiting patiently on your reply. Thanks for your time.

Hi..Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
First of all there is nothing to worry as you used protection. Delay in periods may be linked to hormonal change related to excessive stress & your periods would follow soon.

I just want you to ask did you have a condom breakage or condom slippage during having sex.
If yes then you need to worry & you might be pregnant
If not then chances of getting pregnant are very negligible.

If you do not get periods even a week after the expected date then please do a home pregnancy test.

Don't worry you should be fine
Hope this information helps.
