What Causes Delay In Periods Inspite Of Taking Deviry?
I have bilateral PCOD, endometrial hyperplasia. I am overweight. I don t get periods for 6-7 months, I m not pregnant but hormonal imbalance. I want to conceive. Doctor has given Deviry 10mg - still no period after 10 days...please suggest..I want to conceive....
As you have mentioned, hormonal imbalance is the main cause of your delayed cycles. You may have to continue the hormonal pills for a few more cycles in order to regulate your periods. You may require metformin in case of insulin resistance which should be ruled out. Kindly reduce your weight, which can also affect your hormone levels. Continue folic acid and myo-inositol containing supplements.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
