What Causes Delay In Periods Inspite Of Taking Plan B After Having Unsafe Sex?

Hello. I had protected sex a few months ago about 3 days after my period but the condom slipped off. My partner did not ejaculate because we noticed 10 minutes into intercourse. 2 hours later i took plan b 1 step. I started bleeding pretty heavily a week after that and then i got my period longer than usually when it was due. Now my period was due yesterday and did not come. Am i pregnant?

Hello,
Don't worry if you took Plan B emergency contraceptive pill 2 hrs later. It contain high doses of levonorgestrel which interferes with the fertilization. Bleeding after that could be normal and there are very less chances that you could be pregnant after taking the pill within prescribed hours. Delay of your period might be due to slight imbalance in your normal menstrual cycle hormonal level; which will get better after some days. Still if you want to be sure of the pregnancy do a Urine for pregnancy test (UPT) and still we would have many options if it comes positive.
