What Causes Delay In Termination Bleeding Inspite Of Taking Mifepristone And Misoprostol?

Hi, my cycle delayed 20 days the pregnency test was positive with one dark and another light pink line. Then i choosed mtp one 200mg tablet mifepristone and after 24 hrs 2 tab misoprostole but no bleeding started. Again after 24 hrs i took 4 tabs misoprostole orally now 24 hrs gone no bleeding started. Now what i do please help me, is there any another mtp pills which are used in this condition..Rajni 16 June 2015

Hi,

I would advise to get USG abdomen and a gynecologists advise in your problem. In delayed pregnancy and pregnancy test+ve...where no response to MTP drugs. There are three possibilities:
1. The pregnancy test was positive with ectopic gestation needs to be ruled out
2. Pregnancy test was false positive&delay in pregnancy was due to some other cause.
3. The drugs taken were not within expiry/dosage did not work for you.

You need actual examination by an expert followed by specific advice.
