What Causes Delayed Menstrual Bleeding After Taking I-pill?

I have had an unprotected sex on 30th July with my husband and took an ipill within 5 hrs. I haven t got any bleeding till date. And I don t remember my last period date. It was probably around 2nd or 3rd week of July. How do I know that the ipill is working or not?

Understand your concern
Bleeding will not necessary occur in all case after taking the I pill. It is breakthrough bleeding and due to high progesterone in the I pill. It occur in the 50 percent case.

Period may be delayed by 8-10 days after taking i pill as it prolong the second phase of cycle.
There is no any symptoms and test that will tell about the successful working of I pill.
You have to wait for period.
If period will delay the 12-14 days then you have to go for urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG to confirm the pregnancy.
If you do not want pregnancy then still you can terminate the pregnancy by abortion pill under the supervision of gynecologist.
