General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Bleeding starts within 8 days of stopping the pills as prescribed by your doctor. In case that suits you, you can stop taking the pills &wait for periods.
But in case there is a possibility of spoiling Ganapathi festive. You can continue the pills until the festive is over.
In such a case, you will have periods after the festival. This may disturb your cycles for a couple of months to come.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
