General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Periods could be delayed when the body is under stress. This would cause hormonal imbalance which would cause delay in getting periods.

It could be as a result of recovery from infections such as typhoid or due to mental stress such as anxiety.

Kindly wait patiently for periods to happen. If the delay is for more than 10 days, kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
