What Causes Delayed Period After Taking I-pill Followed By Sex?

Hi doc, I have taken ipill within 24 hrs but I am missing my periods...my period date is 12th march till now i didn t got my periods. Even m getting sme drops of blood but i don t think so I am having my periods. What is this?? Do i hv a chance of getting pregnancy after taking ipill

The use of emergency contraception can sometimes be associated with changes to the menstrual cycle so it is possible that it is responsible for your period delay but you still need to consider a pregnancy test.

It would be best to rely on the use of consistent contraception. The oral contraceptive pill has a higher rate of protection than emergency contraception.
There are also other forms of contraception such as condoms, IUD, depo injection.
