What Causes Delayed Period After Taking Obimet For PCOD?

I was diagnosed with PCOD although my periods was always regular and the doctor prescribed me with Obimet SR 500 mg. After taking it from past 3 weeks or so, my periods is delayed. Should I stop taking it? Is it normal to have delayed periods while taking Obimet?
