General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Kindly repeat your urine pregnancy test again. Urine pregnancy test becomes positive after 10 days of missed period and in some women even later. Hence repeat the test. Blood HCG levels can be taken. HCG is the hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin that rises during pregnancy. Blood HCG levels are more sensitive and rise early during pregnancy.

Hope that was helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
