What Causes Delayed Period And Negative HPT After Having Cortisone Shots?

I am about a week and two days late on my period. I have taken three pregnancy tests and they have all been negative. I did get two cortisone shots about two weeks ago, one in each shoulder. Could this be why I have not had my period or is there a chance I am pregnant and I am just getting a false negative?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient,

with 2 weeks delay and 3 negative tests the chances of pregnancy are slim to none. Cortisone can have this sideeffect on your body that it can cause delayed periods. However if the period doesnt come for another week i recommend seeing your local gyn to rule out any other reasons such as inflammations or other. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
