General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Conditions like hypothyroidism must be ruled out. Consult an endocrinologist and plan for a thyroid function test to check the hormonal status. Once hypothyroidism is confirmed, you might require thyroxine supplementation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
