Hi there! On june 26th i had my paragard iud removed and began my period on june 28th, which was a normal cycle. Here we are more than a month later and according to my period tracker iam 6days late for my period, but a pregnancy test came back negative. Any suggestions as to what could be going on? We tried avoiding fertile days because im due to have another colposcopy done on aug.5th (didnt plan on that when i got my iud out). Im just not sure what to do/think...
Hello I share your concern delay in periods might be related to number of reasons like Hormonal imbalances PCOD Polycystic ovarian syndrome Stress and anxiety Endometrial disease
If I were your treating doctor I would have advise you for an tranvaginal sonography for direct visualisation of gestational sac if you have history of unprotected sex or suspecting pregnancy.
If it shows empty uterus than you just relax you may get your periods in due time, otherwise you can go for hormonal study to rule out any hormonal disorders.
Hope this answers your question Please write back to me with your age and relevant medical history so that I will be able to tell you more accurately Best wishes
