What Causes Delayed Period While HPT Is Negative?

Hello doctor Im writing this for.my cousin. He LMP was on july 17 but she s not pregnant as she do home pregnancy test twice and perform one scan (transvaginal ) it shows normal one... Her gynec prescribe dduphastone for 5 days and said wait for aanother 5 days but stil she ddidnt have her periods.. hher blood tests also normal (cbc, ttsh etc) what will be the problem doctor? Plz rrply fast thanks in advace

Delayed periods could be because of many reasons like stress, hormonal Changes, pcosetc.. I advise to wait for few days.
