What Causes Delayed Period With History Of Tubal Ligation?

Hello. My period started towards the last month ended within the first week of febuary. Its the begining of march and I have yet to get my period. I also have had a tubal ligation done (for about a year now). Could it be a late period? Could I be pregnant? Or am I just almost close to starting my period for this month?

Welcome to HCM
This is Dr Amit Let Me help you in this case
Pregnancy is the most common cause of a missed period. Use a home pregnancy test as the first step to finding out whether you are pregnant
If you are not pregnant, other causes of missed or irregular periods include:
1.Excessive weight loss or gain
2.Medicines such as birth control methods, which may cause lighter, less frequent, more frequent, or skipped periods or no periods at all.
3.Hormone problems
4.Breastfeeding
5 .Pelvic inflammatory disease
I will advise you to consult gynecologist ASAP. He/she will do couple of test like Pelvic ultrasound and pelvic examination along with proper history for the probable cause and will treat you accordingly.
Feel free to ask if you have any other doubts
Regards
