What Causes Delayed Periods After A Surgical Abortion?
I had a surgical abortion on Jan 29 in the US. I am now 4 weeks later and I haven t had my period. Is this normal? If I take a pregnancy test will the results be affected by my abortion? How long could it take to get a normal period again? I had unprotected sex one time after the abortion 7 days later but he did not ejaculate in me.
Chances of pregnancy do not alter if you had sex. But periods start from 3 to 6 months. So you do not have to worry but get your urine pregnancy test done.
If that comes positive, you can even reconfirm again after 24 hours apart. Remember to test the midstream urine of morning sample only which is more accurate for results.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
