What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Abdominal Gas And Back Pain?

I was on predisone for a month and it maid my cycle irregular. I bleed light for a month it then stopped for a few days. Then c@me on at its regular date. That cycle continued for abt 3 weeks stopped for abt for days but never came on for this months regular sch. Cycle. 2weeks later ive been having gas with lower back pains. Had sex in between pauses frm cycle. Could this be early pregnancy signs. Cycle has been so out of wack cycles have been hard to track last few months.I also recently started taking vitakin d twicw a day. Could this be causing the gas and lower back pains? Please help!

Hi,

It seems that you are having irregular menstruation. The reason could be prednisolone as its one of the side effects of the drug however the abdominal gas and low backache are not related to it. I recommend you to visit a gynecologist and get the periods regulated with the help of pills. You can use some antacids available over the counter for your gas issue and some local pain killer ointments for the backache. I don't think vitamin D would be the cause for gas and back pain. Backache could be due to a simple muscle strain or muscle tear and gas could be due to unhealthy food or a simple bowel infection.
