What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Heavy Vaginal Clots?

My period has always been very regular. Down to the time of day. But this period started a day and a half late and was very heavy with blood clots. It looked like it was going to end correctly but instead i am spotting brown discharge when my period should have ended 3 Days ago

Understand your concern.
Following are the cause of delayed period with heavy vaginal clots
1. Polycystic ovarian syndrome
2. Endometriosis, endometrial or cervical dysplasia
3. Polyp in uterus or cervix
4. adenomyosis
5. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance

You should consult the gynecologist and do the following test
USG
PAP smear
Hysteroscopy
Ovarian follicle study
Hormonal assay
Endometrial biopsy

And after diagnosis you start the treatment
