What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Severe Abdominal Cramps?

My period was due 3 days ago and I haven t had it yet. I thought there might have been a chance that I am pregnant. So I took a test twice in the last week, both were negative. I have felt like I am on my period for the last several days. i just had a more intense cramp and a gush of clear fluid. And the fluid has been dripping for the last several hours. Is something wrong? Should I be concerned?? My friend thinks I might be having a miscarriage. But there is no blood and the cramps aren t horribly intense.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You can do a pregnancy test at least 5 days of delayed period. Having cramps but not blood doesn't mean that you are having a miscarriage. Do a pregnancy test as soon as possible to see if you are pregnant or will have a period soon.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
