Hello,
You were doing heavy work (lifting heavy bags in the farm) and now are experiencing severe cramping. Repeated heavy lifting in a female can cause
uterine prolapse, a condition when the
uterus descends down and you may have either feeling of heaviness or get severe cramping. Taking rest can help. A good physiotherapist or a
massage specialist can gently massage and bring a uterus back in position but it can take several days. You can also visit a gynae to detect the degree of the prolapse and get it fixed. Heavy work or intense exercise associated with
weight loss can delay your period.
If you suddenly start working out or do heavy work, you tend to miss your period. However, get USG (uterus) done to detect any polyp,
fibroid or endometrial problem. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, you should take rest and take home made nutritious diet rich in iron, calcium and protein. Stay well hydrated. For relief you can take Spasmol (
spasmoproxyvon), one SOS when needed, You can also take PPIs, one sos only when needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
