What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Vaginal Spotting?

I had a csection March.3,2016. I have 34 day cycle lenth. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex with pullout. About 2 times he has told me his penis make a jerk movement inside me and quickly pulled out but there was no semen on his penis he had it held with his hand so nothing comes out and then he came on him. but when a penis make jerk movement doesn t it mean he came. Can it possible he came a little in me and then came on me as well even when I didn t see any semen on the penis. I go my period June 1st to 4th I shold have ovulated the 20th but on the 16th I spotted when I wiped and a bit into the toliet. It was a red washed out color but not pink. Then about 3 to 4 days later i spotted agian redish color. Few days later i spotted agian a light pink orangey color. I don t know if I had ovulation bleeding followed by implanation or was this caused by my csection in march. I ve taken a pregnancy test last week and negative. Should I test agian or is it not possible that the jerks motion that he didn t cum in me. And also once he comes we don t continue intecource. btw I am 21 and my next period should arrive on the 4th of july

Hi,

When bleeding occurs for a longer period than it is usually as in your case then there are few possible causes and most common is a hormone imbalance. PCOS is one of the causes of hormonal imbalance.

While some causes may be easy to treat, others can indicate a serious underlying condition.

Whether you notice spotting or heavier bleeding in between periods, it’s important to see your doctor for testing, diagnosis, and treatment options.

Other potential other causes of bleeding between periods include a growth in the uterus or cervix, stress, change in medications, miscarriage, vaginal dryness. Your doctor will also likely give you a physical exam, including a pelvic exam.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
