Hi,
Feeling pregnant doesn’t mean you are, but a negative
pregnancy test can be wrong. A pregnancy test may be negative if:
• You tested too early (you are supposed to undertake a pregnancy test after you have missed the last day of your longest period duration ever)
• There isn’t enough pregnancy hormone
hCG in your urine yet (Or may be due to testing at the end of the day/drinking a lot of water making urine dilute for the test to come positive): Pregnancy test at the start of the day is preferable.
• The test has malfunctioned (expired kit or maybe somehow the technique went wrong)
• You’re not pregnant
• You are pregnant, but something is wrong (The reasons could be an ectopic pregnancy or a molar pregnancy): But better not to think about these at this stage. USG examination and blood hCG measurement are needed to conclude.
I would suggest you go for a
blood test (for pregnancy and rule out any other pathology like
thyroid derangement or
hormonal imbalance) and meet your healthcare professional for physical and USG examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
