hello, I have three kids already and my last period was april 15-19, my next period was due may 13th but it never came on its been 16 days since it was due and out of now where I starting bleeding yesterday what could be the cause of this... is it a miscarriage or my period

Hi,

If you were sexually active in ovulation time (14 days prior to menstrual date) it can be pregnancy. You need to confirm or exclude pregnancy by HPT with a non-contaminated (by blood) urine sample. In case of positive test, you need gynecologist's advise for hormone supplement as per need. In absent pregnancy, take cap. CVP gynae over the counter for 3 days. It may stop such irregular bleeding that can be seen in physical or psychological stress. Consult a gynecologist, in case the bleeding is profuse and does not stop or it re-occurs.
