What Causes Delayed Periods Despite Taking Meprate Pills?
HI Dr... my menstrual cycle was once in 15 days till May 3. After that I didn t get my periods. I had unprotected sex after a week of my last periods. Since I didn t get my periods thought I was pregnant. Did several strip tests at home and all were negative. I met the Dr and she gave me Meprate tablets 3 per day for 4 days. Its been a week that I stopped taking the dose. But I ve not got my periods too. Dr asked to come back after 15 days and suggested for another strip test if I didn t get periods after taking the medicines.Can u pls suggest what should I need to do further. Pls note that my next Dr visit is in another 4days. About me I had pcod n there was a delay of 3 yrs during my first pregnancy.

Hello,
You are having very irregular periods and you need to be checked by a gynecologist. Taking meprate will resolve it for a while but you need to get fully checked. Taking contraception pills can make them regular.
