What Causes Delayed Periods In Women With Tubal Ligation?
I had my tubes tied 4 yrs ago I m 27 with two kids I have had some abnormal bleeding went for an ultrasound and found out I possibly have polyps my real question is I jav completely missed my period that never happens my period is very regular what could this mean
Missed period may be due to ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy (though rare), stress, rapid gain or loss of weight, thyroid diseases, long standing diabetes or if you stop using oral contraceptives suddenly. If your period doesn't resume, please do consult a gynecologist for further evaluation. Ectopic pregnancy is very rare but it requires immediate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
