What Causes Delayed Periods Post Having Miscarriage?
The first day of my last period was nine weeks ago. Still am testing negative on a pregnancy test. What should I do? November I got pregnant and had a misscarriage at 6-8 weeks. Didn t even miss a period and never had issues getting a positive result That time.
Delayed periods post miscarriage is natural. After miscarriage delayed periods commonly occur due to increased level of hormones in the system. Delayed periods also occur because the placental tissue may take time to clear up. Sometimes, it is anemia that causes the periods to get delayed. Ovulation may occur 2 weeks after a loss of pregnancy. It may take 6 weeks for regular menstruation to resume after the loss of pregnancy.
It can be either scanty or heavy depending on the health condition. Stay away from anxiety and stress for it is directly related with the uterus. Take homemade food rich in iron, minerals & take high protein diet. In case you develop signs of infection and incomplete pregnancy loss then you are advised to get clinically examined by a gynae, you may need medical support. Do mild exercises and do a little walking.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
