What Causes Delayed Periods Post Intake Of I Pill?
Hello doctor. I am very worried if I am pregnant or not. I and my bf were fooling around on 21october. We had no sex. He just ejaculated near my vagina. Not into it. On the next day that is in 27 hours I took an ipill for safety. 22 october was my date for periods but I did not have it till now. I tell again there was no intercourse. He had ejaculated near my vagina. Why are my periods delayed? Am I pregnant or this delay is because of ipill? When will i have my periods. Please help. I am really very worried
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Pregnancy in your case is unlikely as your partner has ejaculated outside. Also taking I pill within 72 hours of such an episode should offer protection. Following I pill intake, you should get your periods in the form of breakthrough bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of pill intake. That would ensure that you aren't pregnant this time. In case it doesn't happen, you need to seek medical attention immediately for further evaluation as to what could be the cause. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
