What Causes Delayed Periods Post Intake Of Postinor 2?

A friend had her last period on 2nd January and had sex with her boyfriend on 10th January and took 2 tablets of postinor 2 at the same time about 8 hours later, She had a supposed period on 17 January but has not seen her period after that. Her period cycle is 40days average.

I can understand your concern.
Delayed periods are due to hormonal imbalance caused by Postinor-2.
The post coital emergency contraceptive pill Positnor-2 contains high dose of hormone Progestogen (Levonorgestrel) which appears to be responsible for the hormonal imbalance resulting in irregular periods or spotting until her next period or it may also cause delayed period or earlier than the expected time. If your friend's period is more than 5 days late she should contact a gynecologist for further evaluation.
