Hello,

Conception takes place during ovulation or 14 days prior to onset of menstruation. Delay in period can occur due to various causes like hormonal imbalance, anemia, stress etc.

I suggest you to get a complete blood count and peripheral blood smear examination to determine hemoglobin. You can wait for menstrual cycles for few more days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
