What Causes Delayed Periods Upon Changing From Triphasil To Trigestrel?
Hi i was using triphasel contraceptive pill n thy change them at the clinic. They gave me trigestel, and now i m on the red pills for 4 days and i haven t been on my periods. But on the triphasel wen i get to the third pill i go on my periods. It what s happening to me normal or not, am i going to have my periods or not
Sometimes it happens that the periods are a couple of days later while you are on oral contraception, I would recommend you to have a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. A woman still has a small chance of getting pregnant even though she is on oral contraception. If you are not pregnant, I would recommend you to continue the empty pills (red pills) and start the new pack when it is due, no matter if the periods have come or not. You can repeat the pregnancy test 4-5 days after the first one because sometimes the test needs a few more days to come out positive after the periods are delayed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
