What Causes Delayed Periods While On Petogen Injections?

Hi , I have been using 3 months petogen injection for a year and stop talking it now I have 3 months without seeing my period and and I was having unprotected sex with my husband, we are not read another baby cause we have 3 kids. I just stop to see my period cause I haven t seen it for long.

Petogen injection is used as long acting contraceptive. It contains 'medroxyprogesterone' as an active ingredient. Ideally, you should get back your periods once you stop taking such contraceptive injections. Since there is a delay for about 3 months, it would be advisable for you to consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. It would be better to use another form of contraceptive like condoms with spermicidal agents if you wish to avoid pregnancy.
