Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic,
I am Dr.Naveed Ullah khan,
I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.
Some antidepressants do cause menstrual problems which is it ll increase
prolactin levels which ll inhibit the hormones responsible for
menstruation. I would like to know the specific drugs that u r taking. There are many other physiological factors that can delay periods. If ur
pregnancy test is nagitive. Then i suggest waiting for another week and if u still dont get periods then u should do a full work up.
If u get ur periods within the nest week then wait for another cycle. If thats gonna be at usual interval then u dont need to worry. If the next cycle is also prolonged then in that case also a work up is necessary.
I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.
Wish you the best of health.
Regards.
Dr.Naveed Ullah Khan.
