What Causes Delayed Periods While On Birth Control Pills?

Hi. I began the combined pill on the 21st of June, my period was due for the 26th of this month, however now that im on the pill does this now mean I will not have a period on the 26th and instead have it on my seven day break after 21 days? thannkyou

Thanks for the query. I understand your concrn.
Oral contraceptives are to be taken daily for certain number of days (mostly 21 days)&They are hormonal (menstrual hormones)..&(the dose &proportion of hormones)in each pill is arranged to similate with natural menstrual cycle.
The period after oral contraceptive occurs (as in normal menstrual cycle)when the the pills course is completed. (or in natural cycles... the hormonal concentration recedes down)... that is inthe break of 7 days after 21 days of pill consumption.
Naturally it need not coinside with your originsl date.
